A dumb switch (managed switches are not supported) must be used to connect multiple devices.
- Requirements/Restrictions
a. Mixing the same device types is supported. i.e laptops and desktops
b. Mixing gaming and IoT devices is supported.
c. All other mixes of device types is not supported and will result in an unstable connection or
loss of network access.
d. Rooms and areas with a single data jack do not support this configuration
2. Initial Registration Process
a. For each new device, follow the appropriate registration instructions:
b. Once all devices are registered, connect a dumb switch directly to the wall jack.
c. Connect the devices registered in step 2a to the dumb switch
3. Registering additional devices
a. Disconnect the dumb switch from the wall jack
b. For each new device, follow the appropriate registration instructions:
c. Reconnect the dumb switch
d. Reconnect devices to the dumb switch
